Tennessee County Marriage License Status

The following is a list of Tennessee counties in alphabetical order showing whether they are providing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.  NO means the county is not yet providing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, frequently for technical and administrative reasons.  YES means the county is providing marriage licenses to same-sex couples or is willing to do so.  The list will be updated frequently if the Supreme Court strikes down state marriage bans.  If you have an update on a county, email us at [email protected] .

The Williamson Co Clerk’s office ceased performing marriage ceremonies (for anyone) today.

Rotate your device and then check. I did that and the entire list appeared as viewable.

Ok, obviously this page has issues if every comment in 12 hours has indicated that no one can see this entire list. I know most people working with TEP are volunteers, and I truly appreciate all that you do. This information is important, though, and I can’t find it anywhere else. Only the first 57 counties are visible—we can’t see the other half!

I can’t see the last column on my device to tell if you have it or not, but Union is a yes as per one of the elected officials in a different department at the court house.

Is there an update as to which counties will issue licenses and when that might start?
