On the evening of May 17, The Tennessean and The Commercial Appeal reported that legislators are considering a special legislative session to take up a new effort to pass a statewide anti-transgender bathroom discrimination law. It’s important to me that I live in a state that protects minorities. A law like this would do the opposite. Transgendered people are already 70% likely to be attacked in a public restroom. A bathroom discrimination bill would only increase that percentage. Don’t entertain the idea of a law that would put innocent people in harms way.

So tired of ignorance concerning gender dysphoria especially from so called educated politicians. Hiding your hate in religion and laws is something I find disgusting by any person. One can Quote hate groups and other extremely conservative organizations all they like. These groups and their skewed views which are contrary to the truth are nothing but hate disguised as religious liberty or fear of men in a restroom. I say men because your skewed and flawed argument seems to never concerns trans-men in the men’s or women’s bathroom and never mentions the privacy of sons only daughters. You can hate something or someone but that does not give you the right to take rights away nor make laws against those you hate. Ignorance is your only real tool hopefully one day people will have had enough of (your type) and the right wing conservative movement. Real people who have actually known or know someone LBGTQ know the truth of all your lies and know all people of the US deserve equal rights.

Tennessee should put it’s resources towards healthcare and infrastructure and stop discriminating against lgbt.
