As a counselor I see no need for this bill. Counselors are bound under our code of ethics that if we feel that we are unable to assist a client that me must refer them to someone who is able to help. With this new law I feel that this could make counselors tell someone they cannot assist them an not off the referral.

    Governor:

When doctors and therapists choose their noble profession. they take an oath to treat all regardless of ideology. This bill , if passed, would open the door for doctors to refuse traenent to Muslims, atheists, i.e. Anyone whom the doctor would consider violates her moral beliefs. Should doctors be allowed to refuse treatment to neo-nazis, or tea party members? They are against my mir code, but if I were a doctor I’d be obligated to provide the best treatment possible.

I respectfully ask for you to veto this bill.

    Thank you
