Governor Haslam, as a registered nurse and TN citizen I am appalled that our flagship university is losing funding of its diversity program. Veto this bill. Take a stand for equality. People will remember. This is what true leaders have to do sometimes. The legislature is wrong on this. Their comments reflect ignorance. We have to support all the students, not just the white male Christian ones. Nurses take care of everybody. Students deserve equity, and the programming to increase diversity and inclusion costs money. We pay for what we value. Restore the funding please.

Defend Diversity at UT-Knoxville: Veto SB1912

The Legislature passed SB1912/HB2248 that removes funding from the Office for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.  Sign this petition that we will deliver to Governor Haslam asking him to veto the bill.
