As a UTK alum and a registered TN voter, I think that signing this bill into law would be a disservice to the university’s accreditation and its quest to become a top 25 public research university. Vetoing this bill would be the best choice for the university and the state. Diversity isn’t a threat, and inclusivity is a core American value, and I like to think a Tennessee value.

Defend Diversity at UT-Knoxville: Veto SB1912

The Legislature passed SB1912/HB2248 that removes funding from the Office for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.  Sign this petition that we will deliver to Governor Haslam asking him to veto the bill.
