Leland Wykoff endorsed 2016-05-12 09:15:52 -0500Actually i asked Governor Haslam to sign 1920 to hasten loss of Federal funding, and damage UT reputation with foundations and other institutional funders the Governor is counting on to elevate UT to a top 25 research university.
Perhaps that was a tad sarcastic. But it is important for the Governor to have a record of the likely outcome of supporting this bill. No reason Haslam should be able to claim surprise when UT becomes the laughing stock of higher ed and research.
Please, take action about Senate Bill 1912 that defunds the University of Tennessee-Knoxville's Office for Diversity and Inclusion.
Call Governor Haslam at 615-741-2001 and ask him to Veto Senate Bill 1912 and defend diversity. It's fine to leave a message.
