In today’s society we need to be pushing towards tolerance and acceptance. This bill only breeds hostility, resentment and discrimination. The possibility of increased hate crimes against individuals, especially mistaken hate crimes which include genetically born women who physically resemble men without the assistance of hormone therapy will increase. How is this bill a step towards ending prejudice and discrimination. If Haslam truly agrees with this and does not veto the bill then as a citizen of TN I will have to re-evaluate where to spend my tax dollars and where I want to purchase a permanent home. That will be in a more open and tolerant state.

I asked Governor Haslam to veto HB1840, the counseling discrimination bill

Take a minute to contact Governor Bill Haslam by phone message or on Twitter and then let us know you did it using this form.  Let's get to 500 or more!

I called or Tweeted Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and urged him to veto HB1840, the counseling discrimination bill.  I'm asking you to do the same this week.
