I work in healthcare and it is absurd that any healthcare worker would ever rufuse to help treat someone, this should go for mental health as well! It is the same thing as me saying i can’t treat you because you are hispanic or black or left handed! This bill is wrong and should be vetoed immediately! I also happen to be a gay man that has been torn apart from my family on the basis of religion! I have needed mental health care and counseling too help me overcome the scars inflicted by others hate! Thanks to some aewsome people who belong in mental health and would never refuse care because i am gay i can proudly say that i am a Christian and a gay man who is complete and whole and happy and healthy! If Tennessee needs to do anything legally it would be to set up shelters for lgbt youth that have been thrown away out on the streets by their parents! Now that would be a step in the right direction!

I asked Governor Haslam to veto HB1840, the counseling discrimination bill

Take a minute to contact Governor Bill Haslam by phone message or on Twitter and then let us know you did it using this form.  Let's get to 500 or more!

I called or Tweeted Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and urged him to veto HB1840, the counseling discrimination bill.  I'm asking you to do the same this week.
