We have the constitutional right to the pursuit of happiness, which we cannot do if we are not allowed to identify how we want to without prejudice, violence, and systematic discrimination. If you pass this bill, you are violating our constitutional rights.

I lived in the area and still need medical care in the region. Bills / laws like this make it unsafe for the LGBT community and others. It is nothing more than lies and fear mongering propagated by pure bigotry. I have never wanted nor do I want to harm any one in or out of bathrooms. I like others have never thought about predator behavior. I can only imagine a predator would think of such things. I am busy doing what this life is about for me. I am living it to the best of my ability and doing no harm to others. I would hope others would do the same. Stop bigotry, stop ignorance and hate built upon lies and misinformation. Please continue to oppose HB2414 and other discriminatory bills like it.

    Governor Haslam,

I stand with you and support you in staying strong in his opposition to the anti-transgender student bathroom bill. I have never felt using a public restroom with a trans individual put me in any harm. Don’t let the ignorant, insensitive, bigots run our state.

    Regards,

    Eileen S.

Don’t you think it will be confusing when young men and women “at birth” use restrooms that do not apply to their appearance now?
