For the sake of basic Human Rights, please veto this bill. For the sake of your state, don’t make the same mistakes that our Governor made (Indiana). Don’t lose business, don’t discriminate, don’t make TN a place where I wouldn’t want to visit again. Think about the local businesses that depend on things like Bonnaroo. We lost millions of dollars because of our governor, don’t make the same mistake.

I am an Alabama resident and visit Tennessee often for music festivals, sporting events, and other entertainment. If Tennessee passes this discriminatory and bigoted bill, I will be bringing my tax dollars to the state far less often, if at all.

I have come to your state as a tourist every year for the past 5 years…spending thousands of dollars every visit. I consider your part of the world to be a second home to me. As such, I’m embarrassed that it has gotten to the point where I need to sign a petition urging you to veto HB1840. Tennessee is better then fear mongering and hate. Do the right thing.

I am an LGBTQ ally, and I oppose this bill. As someone who has suffered from mental health issues, I find it appealing that the equivalent of our mental health first responders and mental healthcare providers could deny care to anyone. Ethics prohibits such discriminatory actions in any medical profession.

Please veto this discriminatory bill that will only add to the pain and suffering of transgender folks. Therapists can always send a prospective client to a different therapist without giving a particular reason. Please don’t allow hate to be written into law here in Tennessee. Thank you.
