Please don’t allow TN to become the laughing stock that NC and MS are becoming. Please do not discriminate against those that already are battling so many issues.

    Gov. Haslam,

I have lived in the state for eight years and love every bit of it. I’ve defended it through the US Navy Reserve and to friends in other states that TN is the best state in the nation. Please veto all bills that are repressive in nature toward all groups of people because that’s not the welcoming behavior of our state. We have southern hospitality that does not discriminate against anyone.

Nashville has grown so much in the past eight years and it is because of the welcome that we have shown businesses, immigrants, tourism, and those that have chosen to relocate. Passing laws such as these will bring the growth to a halt as other states have seen in recent weeks. We can say bye to VW, Amazon, and others with their eyes on TN. Do not make this mistake.

As a fellow Republican, Christian, and a veteran, I ask you to veto all bills that are discriminatory in nature toward any individuals. Some things should not be part of government: one of those being where people pee and how they live their lives. As long as it does not harm anyone else, there should be no problem. If they harm someone, the harm done is part of government, not the overall situation itself. Leave some morals to society and not make them part of government.

By the way, thank you for keeping the holiness of the “Bible” by vetoing the state book bill. This is a book that I don’t want diluted to another fiction.

    Thank you,

    Josh Rich
